Taking a small “What’s for Dinner Wednesday” pause this week because there’s a lot of great food I’m excited to share with you, but a lot of great fall fashion I want to share too. Bottom line: fall is my favorite season, so I want to show you alllll the things. So for this week it’s all about the fall cardigans and what they can bring to your wardrobe. Before we dive into the cardigans, I have to ask: have you ever read something that makes you feel completely seen? For some people, I bet it’s a poem or a lovely piece of literature, for me, it’s this tweet:
Oh the colonial ponytail, or “colonytail” as I like to call it, is something I so know and I think you’ll see featured in some of my fashion shots, unfortunately. Hey, no telling what you’re gonna get, you know? So I can’t control the execution of a great low ponytail, but can we all agree that a really great cardigan will improve any outfit? Like it just makes you feel so much more polished. And bonus: if it’s alll the degrees where you live: from 50’s to 90’s in one day, you will also be ready to rock the layers scene.
I found these snap button cardigans on Jane.com and instantly fell in love with the colors and the adorable button detail. And for a long time that site was the only place where you could find them and it was crazy competitive. They’d sell out ridiculously quickly — like sold out by 9 am. The only reason I came to own any at all was because the site deals would post in the middle of the night and my younger son was still getting up quite frequently, so I’d do a midnight feed and grab a cute cardigan. Now they’re on Amazon, so people who keep regular daylight hours can get in on it too. Here are some of my favorite layered fall cardigan looks:

That’s a wrap on the cardigan front. Now we’ll be layered and ready for any possible temperature scenario fall throws at us. But how about throwing a little more cozy sweater weather our way, fall?! Just sayin’ :).

I love these!! I need to stop ordering blah colors and go for a pop like you did. It totally works.
Thank you! I’m all about that “won’t get lost in a crowd” color mentality, hehe.
Very cute! I’m always in a tacky fleece or Northface jacket. I need to be a grown up and wear a nice cardigan!
Thanks! I like to rock a North Face too! It was 90 here two days ago and 40 today, so I need all the layers I can get!
