Certified Easiest Ever Wine Slushies are here to help add some fun to your summer! This recipe is so insanely simple, you literally open a bottle and pour and you’re 24 hours away from a delicious wine slushie! This is a great option to serve at your next party, or just to treat yo’ self because the kids are in bed and you all survived the day. AKA how I feel a lot of days, hehe.
My mom has been fully supporting the Freezer Full of Slush movement and we’ve been slushing it up on most of our camping trips this summer. Last trip she casually asks did I know you turn any sweet wine into slush just by pouring it in Tupperware and putting it in the freezer? Record scratch … umm, no?!? This is seriously game changing news. Time to put it to the test!
I tried these wine slushies with three different wines because I care about bringing you some tested options (or I’m a total boozehound, it’s a toss up.) The wine has to be sweet, or this won’t work, so I picked three wines that were marked as “sweet”: a moscato, a roscato and a “reggae red” that just had sweet marked on the bottle. The steps are literally as follows: dump the bottle of wine into a container and walk it over to your freezer. Bam! Finished!
I will say that they should have an additional course on American Ninja Warrior where the contestants carry three very full containers of wine through a children’s toy room on the way to the deep freeze. Because that was a bit of a nail biter.
These were all delicious — the two wines that were 10% alcohol froze up in kind of shale like sheets. It gets slushier shortly after you serve it but if you can’t wait a few minutes for that to happen (umm, both hands raised) just mix it with a little Sprite or 7-up and it will be perfect with no wait. The 14% alcohol wine froze in exactly Dairy Queen Mr. Misty texture and was ready to go immediately. I totally feel like an adult Mr. Wizard after that report :).
Anyone try any other wine versions? I’d love to hear in the comments!

I’m a Moscato fan, whether slushie or no, so that one won for me! But they were all good and I would definitely try any again!

When my mom mentioned it, it was like what?? And then I thought it sounded almost too easy, lol. But they were just that easy and so delicious. Hope you love them if you try them!

What a great idea!! I have a half bottle of sauterne in the fridge that needs a treatment like this. Can’t wait to try it.
Hi Liz, it’s perfect for prolonging the life of a bottle of wine a little longer. I’m the only wine drinker in that house so that always falls on me to finish up the bottles, hehe. Hope you enjoy it!
